Terms of Use
Effective October 26, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and DevScape.io LLC ("we", "us") for using FaithVoice: the apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac, the website at faithvoice.app, and the family listening pages (together, "FaithVoice"). By using FaithVoice, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Using FaithVoice
To create an account and record, you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live. Anyone can listen to a collection that has been shared with them. Children should listen with a parent's or guardian's permission.
You sign in with your Apple account. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your devices and Apple account secure.
Memberships and payment
- Free preview. You can save a small number of recordings and notes before choosing a plan. They stay on your device until you become a member.
- Plans. Recording, backup and sharing need a paid membership: Audio or Legacy. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Purchases through Apple. Memberships are sold through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Apple processes payment and handles refunds.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it doesn't refund the current period.
- Free trials. If a plan includes a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then.
- Lifetime is a one-time purchase that keeps your membership active for as long as we offer FaithVoice, without renewal payments.
- Price changes. We may change prices. Apple will notify you before a price increase applies to your subscription, as its rules require.
If your membership ends
Your collection becomes read-only. We don't delete it, and the people you've shared it with can keep listening. You can't add new recordings or notes until you renew. You can still export everything.
Your recordings and notes
What you record and write in FaithVoice is yours. You give us a limited permission to store, copy, back up, process (for example, adjusting volume so recordings play at a consistent level), and deliver it to you and to the people you share it with. We use it only to provide FaithVoice to you, and this permission ends when you delete it or your account, except for copies we must keep briefly while deletion completes.
You're responsible for what you upload and share. Only upload what you have the right to: your own voice, your own words, and the Bible text included in the app. The translations in the app (the King James Version, the World English Bible and the Berean Standard Bible) are in the public domain in the United States. If you record from any other translation or include other people's material, it's up to you to have permission.
Sharing
You decide how each collection is shared: with anyone who has the link, only with people you invite, or until a date you choose. You also decide whether listeners can download or re-share. Anyone who can listen can hear everything in the collection, and once something has been downloaded or passed on, we can't take it back. You can turn a link off or change its settings at any time.
Legacy contact
You can name a legacy contact. If we're given reasonable evidence that you've died or can no longer manage your account, we may give that person the ability to keep your collection available and to manage its sharing. We'll never give them the ability to change your recordings or notes.
Things you may not do
- Upload or share anything illegal, or anything that harasses, threatens or exploits others, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Record or share other people's voices or private information without their permission.
- Use FaithVoice to store or distribute material unrelated to its purpose, or in amounts far beyond normal personal use, such as using it as general file storage.
- Try to get into accounts, collections or systems you aren't authorized to access, interfere with the service, or copy or reverse engineer the apps beyond what the law allows.
- Resell FaithVoice or use it to run a commercial recording service.
If you break these terms, we may remove content or suspend or close your account. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to export your collection.
Changes to FaithVoice
We're continually improving FaithVoice and may change or remove features. If we ever stop offering FaithVoice, we'll give at least 90 days' notice in the app or by email so you can export your collection, which includes a player that works without FaithVoice.
Ending your account
You can stop using FaithVoice at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@faithvoice.app. Deleting your account removes your recordings and notes, and family links stop working. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your App Store account settings.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep your recordings safe, including keeping backup copies with a separate provider. Even so, FaithVoice is provided "as is" and "as available", and to the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise FaithVoice will always be available or error-free. We recommend exporting your collection from time to time so your family has its own copy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of FaithVoice. Our total liability for any claim relating to FaithVoice is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for FaithVoice in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of content you uploaded or shared, or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees, to the extent the law allows.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that isn't resolved will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer laws of where you live.
Apple App Store
If you got FaithVoice from the App Store, these additional terms apply:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for FaithVoice and its content.
- Your license to use the app is limited to Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by Apple's Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, to the extent the law allows.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and claims that it infringes someone's intellectual property.
- You confirm you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or listed on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change materially affects your rights, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using FaithVoice after that, the updated terms apply.
General
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You can't transfer these terms to someone else without our permission; we may transfer them as part of a merger, sale or reorganization. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about FaithVoice.
